ERDEM's Plateau de Fruits de Mer
We have collaborated with renowned designer, Erdem to create a fashion-forward Fruits de Mer stand, designed exclusively for the restaurant
Our famous Plateau de Fruits de Mer has been transformed, the theatrical nature of the dish meeting Erdem’s trademark fantastical design aesthetic. Drawing influence from jewellery and patterns that feature in Erdem’s collections, the silver plated platter features delicate engravings of koi fish, drawn from above as though swimming underwater. Running along the edge of the plate are miniature koi figures, alternating with delicate flowers, a signature found in many of Erdem’s designs.
Erdem Moralioglu commented: ‘I am thrilled to be collaborating with J Sheekey Atlantic Bar. The restaurant has always been one of my favourites in London – it is so iconic, it‘s an institution. I created the plateau de Fruits de Mer combining elements of my world and J Sheekey’s iconic plateau. It is inspired by traditional Japanese illustrations of the Koi fish which has always held a certain beauty to me; Japan has been a place of great inspiration for my work over the years.’
Erdem’s Plateau de Fruits de Mer (£59) can be enjoyed by guests dining at J Sheekey Atlantic Bar from Tuesday, 19 February, until September. The special Plateau de Fruits de Mer includes tuna & salmon sashimi, cock crab claw, lobster, langoustine, tiger prawns, surf clams, cockles, mussels and oysters. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne will be offered alongside the dish, priced at £16 a glass and £96 a bottle.
The limited edition stand is available to order at J Sheekey Atlantic Bar for £800.
